Motorola V710

Hey, I recently purchased a Moto V710. I like it quite a bit but I am considering returing it. I really don't like how there isn't a vibrate AND ring feature. And the question I have is with the schedule/datebook. Under ring options I have "alerts" set to vibrate and it wont vibrate. In Vibrate mode it alerts by just lighting up the front screen, in ring mode it rings. It won't vibrate. This is a problem cause I rely on it in school to remind me of lessons, meetings, and all that but we aren't "supposed" to have our phones on but they don't care if we don't use it. So I like it to vibrate in my pocket to remind me of meetings/lessons. Any ideas?
