I got a Motorola V180 right at Christmas time (free with the plan I ordered).
Granted, I don't spend a lot of talk-time on it, but it lives up to its reputation as the colossus of long-life batteries. I'm about to recharge it FOR THE THIRD TIME since I activated the day after Christmas, and it's left 'on' at least 10 hours/day. Can't beat the standby time, and the reception seems comparable to others.
I was so impressed by what I read in your column, that I ordered this phone and had to wait for it to arrive in Canada...(Double the price)...I went back to my provider to pick up the case that had not come in yet and they told me that Fido now has this phone and not the original provider (Rogers).
Does anyone know if this is because it is a poor seller or that it has had problems and has now become a junk phone....($250.00 Canadian without a plan) seems like a lot for a phone.
Thanks for input
