Moto G Screen Case not detecting Samsung TV (40F5500)

Feb 9, 2015 12:07AM PST

Hi,

I have moto g first gen phone with me. After the android 5.0 update I am able to see the cast screen option. However when I go to cast screen option it doesn't detect my Samsung TV.

Has anyone faced the same issue. I have tried this with Samsung mobile phone (Samsung Note 2) and it has worked fine.

Don't want to buy other third party hardware

this is one option, however I don't want to buy any other third party hardware (Roku, Chromcasat, etc..). I have seen this working with Samsung Phone, I just don't know why it is not working with my Moto G.

Then you call Samsung and ask them to fix or replace.

That's where you make it a warranty issue. I know that some devices (our office writes Android apps) just don't work. As to why, well that's the big question isn't it? I know that in most cases there's nothing we can do to fix it as the code is not exposed for us to change. So with that you make it a warranty issue and return non-working products.
