Check the site....

mrcub,

You can check the corresponding Samsung site to your country of origin to see if a firmware update is available for your specific model.

It will be under the support section, type in your model number, and will give you a place to access all of the downloads for that specific model.

no downloads other than instructions and quick guides. i guess i'll just have to put up with it. it's very annoying though as i'm sure it shouldnt be like that.

If you're still under warranty...

If you're still under warranty and you don't think the picture looks right, call the Service Department and see if they can send a service tech to service your unit.

I don't want you to be unhappy with your purchase.

thankyou for your reply. i have arranged for a technician to come and service it. he says they have a software upgrade for it. does this usually sort out the blurring issues? other than the blur i am very happy with my purchase, its a very good tv. i just knew something was'nt right with it.hopefully it will get sorted. thanks again.

Blurring...
Dec 9, 2008 5:01AM PST

There can be some blurring inherent with LCD panels. However, if it's to the point where it's an issue, then the unit should get serviced. Some panels end up responding to firmware, others in a worst case scenario, need to be changed out.

Again, I want you happy. So hopefully this step will get you there!
