I have been deciding between a 42in samsung dlp and the panasonic 44in lcd projection (the link above) but when I went to CC I noticed that the LCD projections were much clearer! So I asked if the settings were messed up and he said no, the dlp is less clear than lcd. however, he said that lcd projections are not good because of a motion blur problem during mainly sports events. I watch some football (not alot) but mainly will use my tv for xbox360 and regular tv's (some dvd watching also). Do you all think that this tv is better?

L.C.D. VS D.L.P. WHO KNOWS
Feb 23, 2006 2:15PM PST

I thought the Sony 60' l.c.d. had the best picture I have ever seen, but I wanted a 70" + picture so I chose the TOSHIBA 72HM195 d.l.p. And now that I have it all set up and calibrated perfectly in my house I think the d.l.p. looks as good as the sony l.c.d. sets They say d.l.p. set may have a rainbow effect but I sure dont see it good luck stewart

LCD, TV & PC monitors, responce times!!
Feb 24, 2006 5:18AM PST

This was big problem for PC monitors and the PC gamers about 2 years ago. The LCD monitors were to slow for games. The mark to hit was 16ms or less reponce times.
LCD TVs do not allwise state this some meet the spec, some do not. If your gaming and want a LCD test ti out first. DLPs do not have a responce problem. John

smart shutter, and quick motion, are two technologies that Mitsu has put out in the battle agains blur. Football is my sport of choice and the tech works seamlessly
