no difference as long as it fits and mounts properly in the case and affords the right number slots for peripherals. You may need to upgrade the RAM if the existing RAM is less than DDR2-667. Keep in mind that MB has only two DIMM slots so if you want or need more RAM, you need to factor that in for the upgrade.
If I were you, I'd look further. The link above shows users aren't real high on that MB.
Have a Presario SR5350F that has become too slow for my needs. the recommended CPU's are no longer in production so now i have to upgrade. I currently have a micro ATX ASUS (LGA775-9.6x8.6) w/ a Pentium Dual Core E2160 @ 1.8GHZ, 320GB HD,2GB Ram,GEForce8400, 500W PSU.
I've shopped the net and I am looking at Core 2 Duo E7500 w/ an ASUS P5G41-M LE board. Will this work? Am I better off just buying a new PC? Also, does the size of motherboard make a difference here? I also have a copy of Windows 7 64-bit available to me if upgrade is ok.
any assistance herre is very much appreciated. Thank you.
