Question

Motherboard & Graphics Card For Build

Oct 26, 2013 8:50AM PDT

Hey guys,

Building myself a new gaming desktop, and I was looking for some feedback with regards to choosing a mobo and graphics card for the build. I've settled on getting an i5 4670k, but I'm not sure about the best mobo or graphics card for me.
For the motherboard I'd like something that will last me a few years and looking for something under $200. I've been waffling between the MSI Z87-G45 and the Asus Maximus VI Hero (Z87).
In regards to the graphics card I've kind of settled on the GTX760, but I keep seeing conflicting opinions on which manufacturer is the best option (MSI, eVGA, etc.).
Would love some feed back from you guys as I've been out of the building scene for a while and have very little experience with any of these parts, their issues and their benefits.

Cpu.
You made a good choice.
I don't overclock so I would have saved a few bucks and gone with the non "k" model....even that can be overclocked but it's limited.....your call.

Mobo.
This comes down to the features you want/need.

For me the Msi board would work fine.....your call.

Gpu.
The 760 is a nice card.
Maker?.....I doubt it will matter much.
Use the user reviews at newegg.
If some card is showing a bunch of 1 or 2 eggs that might not be a good choice.
