Much of this CPU support is a combination of two items. The motherboard chipset and BIOS. If HP or Pegatron don't issue a BIOS to support the CPU then you'll get that message and won't be able to use the newer CPU. As the BIOS is not open source you can't fix that except to replace the board. However that would trigger having to replace the OEM Windows. Lesson? Always find the CPU support list before swapping CPUs. Just because it's the right socket does not mean it will fly.

Hello, I bought a new AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black edition CPU for my computer, which is HP G5325sc, motherboard is Pegatron Corporation 2A99. Previous CPU was AMD Ahtlon II X3 445 so I decided to upgrade it.
I installed new CPU successfully, started computer, everything went fine but suddenly, a text pops on the screen ERROR UNSUPPORTED CPU INSTALLED, and computer shut down. Is it my motherboard? And if so, what kind of motherboard should I bought so that it fits on case.
Thank you in advance! And sorry my english!
