Motherboard and processor heatsink fan problem..plz help me

Jun 13, 2007 12:07AM PDT

Hi everyone,
Ok I am having this really crappy problem and I really dont know how to solve it. The first thing is I am using a MSI Nforce mobo...Now the problem is I have D.O.T installed and after switching my PC on I get this error message that shows the FAN RPM is rotating at 0...(beeping sound).after a second it starts showing 1950 RPM...but the funny thing is that the HEATSINK FAN is still rotating even though the D.O.T interface is showing 0 RPM. I have not overclocked anything cuz I am not an overclocking guy. Can some1 solve this crap problem of mine.thanks

Francis

DOT is based on CPU temperature and so is fan control. You could be getting bad readings from the fan.

You should also check out the forums at http://anandtech.com or http://hothardware.com or http://pcstats.com. If you go to these sites, I'm sure you'll quickly get feedback from users with your exact board and problem.
