Most of the Firefox extesions vanish.

Today most of the extensions I had vanish from Firefox because the incompetent developers at Mozilla don't check their work. I tried searching and tried to install them but they won't install telling me to check my connect which there is nothing wrong with. Does anyone know how to get the extensions back and working?

There was a policy change.

You can check it out at their site but due to abuse and malware in extensions the following is no longer allowed: Code Obfuscation and not supplying source code.

The days of trusting the extension developers are over.

I'm going to get flamed for this but I agree with what Mozilla did.

The OTHER issue is noted at this link.

Thanks. I tried that already and it doesn't work. When I try to re-install any extension I get an error message, "Download failed. Please check your connection." There is nothing wrong with my connection. I can't stand incompetence! Most software developers don't check their work. They should be fired! Thanks

There is nothing to try.

Sorry if you take this wrong.

How much did you pay Mozilla? I'm a little taken aback by your attitude to folk that provide free software.

That's not the point. If you make it you should check your work. No excuses for checking your own work. So you are O.K. with people not checking their work?

The work is fine.

It's a certificate issue it seems. I won't re-read the links but you are slamming folk that worked on this freely.

We've seen this before from all companies. Companies are run by people that need to keep decent hours and certs can expire and it takes a little time to clear that up.

I think Mozilla did fine. They'll fix it but there are those that expect perfection. They are never happy no matter what.

-> Here I haven't updated because I follow the rule about not fixing what is not broken. Extensions working great here.
