most of my speakers work......

Nov 14, 2004 4:51AM PST

I recently purchased a logitech Z-680 speaker system. When I set them up, I noticed that there was one speaker that was not working. This was the front left. The speakers have a test button rigth on the remote that came with it so I tried the speaker test. everything checked out right with sound coming from all speakers. I then went on my computer and used my soundcards tester(soundlbaster audigy platinum ex) and got the same problem that one speaker is still not working. It seems obivous to me that the problem is not my new speakers but something on my soundcard. Does anyone have an idea of what that might be. My system is windows xp home ed amd 2200

One of my friends just had a similar problem with his new five-speaker setup, and discovered that the manual showing the connections was actually backwards....after playing around on his own about this, he discovered by accident that the jacks were marked wrong in the instruction manual.

Well i tried that and could not get it to work. The front right speaker is functioning as the one that is not working(front left) in other words when I do the test I get the words front left coming from the front right and no sound from the front left.
