Question

"mosaic" screen on boot

Every time I boot windows (Just installed the ryzen 3 2200G) my screen turns to mosaic and is basically unusable, I'm using the thermal compound from the heatsink and the board is on cardboard (used the A-series 9600 right before installing ryzen and it worked fine), the bios doesn't do that. The temps are stable (30 celsius) and the clock is on 3.5MHz.
Board: Gigabyte AB350 gaming 3
CPU:Ryzen 3 2200G
GPU: Vega 8
Ram:Corsair 1x8GB DDR4
PSU: Corsair CX550

Be sure the BIOS is current. If this only happens in Windows it's a sign the video driver or BIOS issue. Always wipe out the GPU drivers with DDU when changing GPUs.

If nothing fixes it, post in the Gigabyte Motherboard forum. http://forum.gigabyte.us/board/12/amd-motherboards

The ryzen is an APU, I'm using integrated graphics from the cpu

Which points to an APU graphics issue.

Just because it's in the APU doesn't mean it's good. For example I've seen then when the BIOS is out of date or there are memory issues.

Since it displays ok in the bios is the bios up to date?

Is the display ok if you boot to safe mode?
