Morpheus: Downloads fine, won't RUN!!!!

Oct 18, 2007 1:52PM PDT

I have Windows XP Stundent Edition, service pack 2, Zone Alarm Security Suite......

I have the Morpheus.exe and MOrpheus Short-cuts on my desktop. I try to launch it, and it says that my computer can't open the file because it doesn't have a program to read it.

So I go and Choose morpheus.exe as the program used to run morpheus (that may have been idiotic, i dont' know.)...point is, nothing is working. I have Morpheus downloaded to my desktop, but it wont' run, open, launch, whatever you want to call it. HELLLLPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!

A step-by-step if you dont' mind.

P.S. I think Zone Alarm may be the culprit b/c the newest version of MSN Messenger (WIndows Live Messenger) is also messing up and kicking me off, when i run Zone Alarm.

This definitely is the wrong forum for your question.

This is a forum dedicated to mp3-players. That small things you put in your coat's pocket to listen to music when cycling or walking or travelling in public transport, you know.

My Bad Honey!!

I thought this was the place where you posted questions about MP3 finder programs...P2P file sharing and all that. I must have found the wrong place. My Bad. This website isn't very newbie friendly, you know.

But since you obviously know so much about MP3's (those files that go into iPod's and such; for use while cycling, walking, or traveling in public transport)...maybe you could direct me to the place where i CAN get advice and assistance. Since you so kindly pointed out my egregious error in selecting THIS forum.

But you have to be more specific on what exactly you click on and what exactly happens.

Are you sure it's an exe-file? Did you set the folder options to show all extensions? It could be a rar-file, for example and Windows doesn't read those by default. The message sounds like it isn't an exe file you click on, but you say it is. So that's a problem.

And what kind of exe is it: the installed program or the downloaded installer only?

What happens if you run morpheus.exe from the Start>Run box (yes, you've got to use the full path starting with c:\ or it won't be found. Or click on morpheus.exe in My Computer (after browsing to the folder it's in).
