Does JW rules disallow you

from knowing more about other faiths in order to be better informed? Sounds like the Dems and liberal media telling people to stop watching/listening to FoxNews or Rush Limbaugh's talk radio show or to not watch Trump's task force briefing because they don't want any information but THEIRS getting out.

I watch it on CNN.

Then they play what HE said last week and what HE says today and they point out the difference.

Are you asking for more information about us?
Apr 3, 2020 1:44PM PDT

Would you read it at jw.org if I sent you there?
You've said No to both questions in the past.
We have used this book:
Mankind's Search for God
https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/publication/r1/lp-e/sh
No longer available for download, but you can read it and study it at the link. Like all our publications, it's prepared and offered to help people like yourself learn more about Jehovah and his Book. Most refuse- as you do. Who, then, is responsible for their ignorance?

Is it honest and fair to ask a question of someone and then refuse to look at the answer?
Doesn't that leave you open to ridicule?
Is that the way to accurate knowledge of any subject?

Let's try. According to your Bible, God created the heavens and the earth. Did he have something in mind for humans when he did so? What do you think?

I refuse

"Is it honest and fair to ask a question of someone and then refuse to look at the answer?"

What I refuse is to go to some link you provide for an answer....I expect YOU to answer in YOUR words, not read a pot full of propaganda from links you provide. If YOU, personally, can't answer, you have a real problem.

I use the Bible's words; it's what we do.

A chemist uses the words he learned from chemistry books. Trump uses words he learned from ... Who knows? We were all born ignorant.

Q. Is it honest and fair to ask a question of someone and then refuse to look at the answer?
A. No. It's rude in fact.
I, personally, believe that only Jehovah has the answers to mankind's problems. I've seen those answers, tested them, and they work
Example: You tell me that Trump is in command of the COVID situation. I respond that the evidence of my own eyes and ears shows that it doesn't belong to a man who is walking even to direct his own step. The words are Jeremiah's, the evidence is there in your news.
To believe in that self-evident truth would hurt your pride, so you attack the messenger.

You just proved my point

in directing you to answer in YOUR words and not quote your Bible with every response. YOU actually did as you were directed, even though I disagree with it. It's NOT rude to direct someone to respond with their own words instead of reciting verbatim crap he's memorized. ANY fool can do that...it's much harder to speak in your own words what you think instead of what someone ELSE said. Thank you.

To you, the Bible is "verbatim crap"; Trump's words
Apr 5, 2020 7:23AM PDT

are what you live by.
We live by Jeremiah's words. We do quite well; we're ahead of the curve even in in our public behavior. We isolate, handwash, mask up. We do not physically attack those who don't follow instructions of their own governments. All of that comes from understanding the Bible, not from rote memorization.

Trump's waffling is occurring in large part because he follows different words these days- more scientific and authoritative ones. Helps his country. Isn't that his job?

You are deflecting
Apr 5, 2020 8:55AM PDT

and doing poorly at it. YOUR version/interpretation of YOUR Bible IS verbatim crap, and you use it as an excuse to not use your own mind and words. Understanding? I don't think you actually DO understand what you read or memorize or you wouldn't publicly show the world what a bigot you are.

Your last paragraph makes no sense and has nothing to do with this discussion. However, you brought it up so let's go with it. Do you believe in abortion as a JW? Many 'Christians' do...even Catholics...even though it goes against their own 'religion'. I ask because IF you do, and since you are saying that Trump is listening to SCIENTISTS, and ALL climate change people believe in the SCIENCE (which is what they fall back on when 'debating' that issue), then doesn't it stand to reason that those who believe in abortions AND climate change SHOULD be listening to the SCIENCE that says a baby (not a fetus) IS a baby at conception and can feel the pain of an abortion at a minimum of 20 weeks and should discontinue the fight to keep abortions going beyond that point at the very least?

What do MY beliefs have to do
Apr 7, 2020 1:45AM PDT

with this? I asked specific questions of you in my post, and instead of answering, you try to turn it around to 'you can't answer until you know how I believe and give "evidence" that satisfies you'.  Pretty pathetic.  You are struggling obviously because you are unable to come up with a direct memorized quote and can't use your own words as usual to respond to direct questions to a topic YOU brought into the discussion.

IF you want to be seen as credible, it seems obvious that your responses need to change drastically.
