Is to stop printing. I found I really didn't need it all.
The next thing I learned was to go get a boring black and white laser printer. It's really nice and cheap to print with.
Hope this helps,
Bob
I have a small home based business. I currently print from a Lexmark X1270. It is an AIO minus a fax. It seems to me like it is blowing through ink like nobodies business. I am maybe getting 50-70 prints through on the Lexmark 17 black ink cartridge ~$20/each. Other problems with this printer is that it doesn't hold very many sheets of paper and pulls through multiple sheets at a time.
I was looking into getting an HP. It looks like they use ink with a much higher page yield (700-800) and the cartridges only cost $34.
The questions I have are:
1. What printer would be recommended? An AIO with fax would be nice.
2. What is the life expectancy on that kind of ink cartridge?
I basically am just trying to justify spending the money for a new printer. I'm thinking that I could save money on ink in the long run.
