Hey Dave, just cause were friends, a little bit of news for you.....only the Democrats plan by the polls. Other than providing employment in conducting and reporting the polls, they serve little purpose, except to folks like yourself. Others might start glancing at them in another six months or so, maybe.

Hi, Del.

Once again, O'Neill's book claims Buish, Rove et al pay a lot more attention to the polls than y'all claim... That "difference" was a phony issue cooked up by Rove for the 2000 campaign, and like Bush planning to govern in a bipartisan fashion had no basis in reality.

Ever notice....

....that it's always the "losing" side that insists polls don't matter?

I notice the opposite, Josh...

Josh, I notice the opposite. Remember those polls that showed that Grey Davis would remain in office during the California recall?
What we want to see is the current stand of "flip-flop" Kerry. BTW, when will he put his service records out there for us to see, including his medical records?

Was he asked to do that? Would it be appropriate before he's nominated?

Don't get too impatient though. We had to wait until 3+ years into Bush's presidency to get his records.

Kerry has been asked to make those records available and he has declined.

I saw a poll on TV (? station) yesterday with four questions - Kerry ahead on two and Bush ahead on the other two.

I firmly believe it far too early in this campaign for polls to mean too much.

Another thought, Del...

Another thought, Del. I saw a story saying that one of the images that the Democrats screamed about Bush using in that political ad that caused all that "hoo-rah" wasn't even in that ad. I wonder if that is true. Another "Winter Soldier Investigation"?
I get the drift that Kerry does not like Bush. Why waste time on meaningless "we're winning" polls? Let's see Kerry step up to the plate and explain some of those statements that he has made over the years.

Wow! That's quite a statement Dave.

ABC is most conservative. Peter Jennings is their news anchor. Who said the media doesn't have a liberal bias? Are there any questions boys and girls?

Hi, KP.

ABC also has John Stossel, the most conservative reporter in the major networks.

Let's see now, Dave...
Mar 8, 2004 10:35PM PST

Let's see now, Dave. That had TNS Intersearch do that poll. They did it with a telephone poll of 1,202 adults.
According to the Federal Election Commission, in the 2000 Presidential election there were 156,421,311 registered voters at that time.
A poll based on 1200 out of 156 million registered voters. If it wasn't limited to just registered voters, but all adults, the sample population ratio is even worse.

Wouldn't have bothered posting except for ABC comment...

saying they are the "most conservative network" is not any indication of conservativism.

It is like saying C. Manson was a humanitarian because he didn't eat his victims ala Dauhmer.

ABC and conservative should not be used in the same sentence except when indicating that they are NOT.

Getting to the "poll" I expect the numbers will change as people get to know and see the real Kerry.

Unlike Kerry Bush has not gone on the attack but don't expect his to keep turning cheeks--he will run out soon and reply in kind.
