Moore's Law

Feb 3, 2009 6:45AM PST

The law describes the prediction that the processing power of computer chip will double approximately every 18 months.

When will it double again?

Thanks.

Don't know, but can you answer this one?

If it takes a chicken and a half a day and a half to lay an egg and a half, how long would it take a rooster sitting on a doorknob to hatch a hardware store?

more specifically

it states that the amount of transistors
you can put on a PCB (cost effectively)
will double approx. every 2 years.....

if the increase is followed by a doubling
of the processing power of computer chip?

not necessarily (IMO)
