Montior Error - No Signal Input

Mar 18, 2009 3:20AM PDT

I have a 22" Hanns-G LCD monitor attached to my laptop with a VGA cable, the message on the display states "No signal input - check video cable". I tried with multiple PCs and cables, but none work. It is clearly a monitor problem. What can this be?

Assuming you have checked monitor settings in control panel?

Do you mean the display settings? I checked the refresh rate and it is set properly. I cannot bring up a display menu on the screen either. I have since spoken with Hanspree Customer Service and it seems that the monitor is defective. I cannot believe that after only 6 weeks of mild use the monitor is dead. But I now have to ship the monitor back to them which will cost me $20 at least.

And what about that monitor cable?
