Not a video card, you need a tuner card. Around sixty bucks all over the net. There are USB tuners that will work with laptops. I have an Airlink+ card in my desktop PC and I can watch satellite or broadcast TV. I take my laptop when I travel with the USB tuner. You can watch the hotel pay movies for free. Don't ask me how I know.
I've seen a lot of new advertisements for new LCD TV/monitors and although interesting, they are very expensive. A friend told me you can still hook up your cable(television) to your computer through a stronger video card and maybe a converter of some sort. Is it true any regular computer and monitor can do generally the same thing as a specialized LCD TV monitor, and if so, how easy is this to do? thanks for the help.
