Question

Monitor Troubles

So recently I purchased an Elgato HD 60, which meant that I had to switch from VGA display (from my graphics card) to DVI. I used an HDMI to DVI adapter since the Elgato requires HDMI but my monitor only has a VGA and DVI port. It worked fine for one day, but now when I boot up my PC, the monitor says "auto select vga (or dvi), then for a split second the windows loading screen appears, and then the monitor says "entering power save mode".
