Question

Monitor Splitting

Apr 13, 2017 5:51PM PDT

Hello, I have been searching around the internet for a solution to my problem, but most solutions involve downloading dodgy programs to get this to work (I don't mind downloading programs, I just need to know that they're safe!)

Basically, what I want to do is to split my monitor screen into two parts, with both halves of the screen showing the exact same thing. As an example, having a game displaying the visual feedback on both halves.

Any help would be really appreciated on this.

"both both halves of the screen showing the exact same thing."

That's not what we call display spanning. So for this an ordinary HDMI splitter will show the exact thing on both displays. I think you need to clarify your goal.

Not understanding..

I didn't refer to "display spanning" at any point, so I don't quite understand what you're actually saying here. Don't think the goal is particularly hard to understand either..

Then let's see if others understand.

Per your words a simple splitter will do. I designed display devices so let's hope you explained it well enough or can add more detail.

This is all volunteer so please tell more when asked. That is, this is not a store etc.

Are you saying you have one monitor and want to split the screen in half with each half showing the same thing?
