...the settings in Control Panel/Display/Screen Saver tab/Power button?
If everything is set correctly, try toggling to something different, then toggling back again. (Setting sometimes become corrupted and need fixing again.)

past yr i had power settings set to turn off monitor and hard drive.
as of yesterday monitor dosnt shut off.
no changes made, virus and spyware free.
