Question

Monitor samsung p2370ms check signal cable

Feb 12, 2015 10:09AM PST

I have 3 years with my monitor samsung p2370ms and recently I dont have any signal from the CPU. Im using 2 monitors and the other is fine, so is not any problem with the motherboard or video card.

And also, If I go to "Adjust screen resolution" I can see the two monitors conected, same way as before this error. So the computer recognize my monitor samsung but it doesnt show anything and instead it shows only "check signal cable"

Any idea???
Thanks!

Tap the menu button and see if the OSD menu comes up. If not, it needs repair.

I have another monitor and I connected in the same port as the Samsung, and this third monitor is working!!!
And just to double check, I connected the Samsung monitor in a laptop and same thing: Laptop recognize a external monitor, but the samsung monitor doesnt show anything only "check signal cable", and yes the OSD menu works

HDMI chips have some mental issues.

Don't laugh. I've brought a few back by unplugging all cables and then the power cord for about 10 minutes. The OSD test was a step along the way. I wanted to do that first.
