If so, set the video display mode to 800x600 60Hz then exit safe mode (reboot.)

After i sent the message you replied to, i tried another monitor and xp scroll bars appeared and then nothing. Now the monoitor wont even turn on. I also tried another video card and the green light shows green for about 10sec and then orange. So in all i tried a different card, a different monitor and still nothing. All the pins on the monitor cables are straight.

Since the method I shared didn't help you need to get the machine fixed.

Did you try another monitor?

I see this monitor is from 2001. It could be the failing item and not the PC.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
