If it is to ask if you got a good number of years from the monitor then my answer is YES. Almost all this gear is a 5 year design so it made it.
Repairs run more than replacement so if repair is the question my answer is that it will run more than a replacement.
If the question is one of cost, then my answer is to find the FREECYCLE in your area and wait till someone gifts another display on the list.

Gateway VX760 CRT [Monitor] (15.7"vis, s/n MP05A50N04479, October 2005). The menu and menu option buttons on the monitor do not and have never worked which is tolerable.
Emachines T3624 PC with OEM Windows XP Home Edition build 2600 and SP3. 1GB RAM.
An image of the power button is at http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m349/fastfoodpics/button.jpg
I have been using this monitor for several years and this is the first time this has every occurred. Today after releasing the power button after turning the monitor on, the center of the button including the lighted blue power button symbol remained depressed while the out portion of the button remained out i.e. not depressed. The user manual does not mention this feature and I cannot find any info regarding this on neither the Gateway web site nor anywhere else on the WWW. This does not [appear] to change the operation of the monitor. The only power option selected is turn the monitor off when the power button is pushed.
Thank you
