Monitor or TV???

by bigskystorm / March 22, 2006 12:51 PM PST

I was thinking about buying a LCD unit but couldn't decide on which one. First off I am a gamer with little to no money lol... and I am looking for something under 400 and watching movies. Monitors are cheaper than tvs so I was looking at the Viewsonic vx924 but was not sure if I could hook up my XBox or soon to arrive x box 360 to it. So my question is... what is the difference between a monitor and a tv? And how horrible would it be to buy a monitor for console gaming? And what does HD enabled (as claimed by viewsonic) as oppose to HD ready mean anyway?
Thanks in advance for your help
Derek

Good evening, Derek,

This forum is for feedback concerning member registration, not technical issues. Based on your question I'd suggest reposting in either Games & Gear or, better yet, Home Audio and Video. There are some knowledgeable members there that I'm sure will be able to help you. Just remember one thing...if anyone suggests going over your limit, be sure to thank them for offering to pick up the check! Grin

Regards,
John

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
