If it doesn't work on other PCs then it's the monitor.
Given the August 22, 2003 introduction date the monitor did great for over a decade. Time to find it a new home and get a replacement as repair runs more than replacement.
Hi. I have a Samsung SyncMaster 2033sw monitor with a signal problem. On a DVI connection, this monitor does not always recieve a signal, altough the cable is firmly plugged in. Before you ask,
1) I have tried this on other computers to find the same problem,
2) I cannot plug it in by VGA, there is another monitor using that port,
3) My other monitor cannot plug in by DVI to free up a VGA port on my desktop, and
4) The monitor does work some of the time.
My question is: Where is my problem? Do I have a bad monitor? Or do I have a bad cable? If the problem is in the monitor, is easy to fix? Please let me know.
