Are you aware that the mfr of the monitor, normally will,not replace LCD monitor unless it has more than 8 to 10 or so dead or stuck pixels? Dead show up as black or white, stuck can be a color. Check for their dead pixel policy.
The pixels in an LCD monitor are physical devices [three Thin Film Transistors per pixel. One Red, one Green, one Blue].
I have an HP vs17x monitor which is still under warranty. I notice on start up that there is a tiny dust speck of light which eventually disappears only when all the on screen colour is present. It is of course on the inside of the screen. Any ideas? Is it something to be bothered about...is it a sign of something to be concerned about?...do I need a replacement monitor?
