Monitor Issues

My monitor won't display it's colors properly, here's a screen shot of it beside my laptop showing the color difference: http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/5248/img0002ygg.jpg

here's the wallpaper on the weird monitor:

here's what the wallpaper should look like:

I know the monitor isn't broken because i already shipped it to acer and they sent it back saying it's fine, but i cannot get it to work properly!
Also, when im booking into windows 7 and it shows the 4 balls going in a circle and then combining to make the windows logo, it looks normal, the colors just go weird after it has booted up fully

either a videocard or a driver or a settings issue (of the video driver).

I'd update the driver, then try other settings and see if the situation can be normalized.
If not, my next step would be to swap monitors with another PC and see what happens on both.

the driver is the latest one, and i don't know what settings to try! i've fiddled with so many and none seem to make a difference

the monitor works fine on another pc, but other monitors work fine with this laptop...so it's just a weird issue when using the laptop and this monitor together.

Borrow or purloin another monitor and try it on your system. -OR- take your monitor to another system and check it out. If the problem presists you know which side is doing it, video port or monitor.

If you want, return to square 1, reset the setting to deafults on both monitor and system, don't fiddle. If it seems to correct or start to correct itself, then a setting issue, otherwise some h/w one.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
