Monitor Images & Icons have changed

Jul 22, 2005 9:53AM PDT

My friends has a Hewlett Packard Computer with Windows ME with a 15inch monitor. She has used a family photo as ''Background'' and the images in the last week have become [stretched] a little longer [faces about 20% longer] and the Icons on the Monitor have changed/become about 20%longer?
Used Ad-Ware and Spybot 1.4 and these programs removed quite a number of Spy and adware entries. Have organised her last night to do Virus Scan and a Scandisk and Defrag in Safe Mode.I have not rang her today to see if this has corrected the problem

there should be a series of buttons on the front of the monitor

some have a menu by pushing the largest button/button that says menu or something like that

some just have toggles to adjust the setting and an LED to show what your changing (OSD's are on newer monitors, as far as back as a few yrs)
