Monitor Icons (Disconnecting)

Nov 28, 2003 11:40PM PST

I have a Compaq desktop with Windows XP. I am also using Call Wave to receive calls while on line. Just recently when I get disconnected from the internet the monitor icon is still present and if I click onto monitor for a status it shows I am still connected. The call wave icon when disconnected should also have an X through it but does not. If I pick up the phone I have a dial tone. I am using a phone modem to connect. Has anyone every experienced this problem or know what could be causing it? Thanks

My neighbor sees that once a week or so. Seems to be buggy software. They reboot and go back to using the system.

If this is important to you, check with Callwave's support, but this is an imperfect world and you may just have to reboot from time to time.

But I didn't answer your question directly, so I will. You asked:
" Has anyone every experienced this problem or know what could be causing it? "

Yes.
A bug in the software.
