Monitor help/question

by JackJunior123 / January 12, 2007 11:22 PM PST

I just purchased a Viewsonic VX2035wm monitor recently. The monitor has both DVI and VGA inputs and my video card has both dvi and vga output. I have connected my monitor to the computer through dvi but I also have to connect my vga cord to the monitor and computer or it will not display a digital image. Through the input selection digital is selected so it is coming through the dvi cable but I have to have the vga cable connected. If I unplug the vga cable after starting up the computer the image stays on the screen. However that isnt really the problem, I am trying to connect my xbox 360 through the vga port and it works but I can not switch between my computer screen and xbox 360 screen. Can I only have one compnent plugged in at once. I was thinking I should be able to switch between the two with the press of a button. I know this is really quite confusing but any help will be appreciated thx.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
