The newer larger LCD displays are arriving with resolutions very few graphic cards will support. I had to return an Envison 22" for this reason. Even though my Intel Extreme Graphics card, which supported resolutions above two thousand lines, did not have the exact resolution for that monitor. On another PC I have a nVidia GeForce FX5500 with 256 Meg of RAM. It supports a gazillion resolutions but not the specific one needed for the Envison.
I don't know what to tell you.
I guess untill enough people complain to either the LCD manufacturers or the graphics manufacturers, we're all SOL.
I just got my first LCD monitor (22"). I have a 2002 Dell Dimension 4500 running XP Professional. The monitor manual states that I should set the display at 1680 X 1050. I don't have that option listed. Is it because my computer is older? Is there a good solution?
The picture is OK. But, it tends to change shades of color as web pages load. Thanks for any help.
