Question

monitor cutting out

Feb 10, 2016 9:35PM PST

So i'm having getting one of my monitors to work. I have an amd xfx radeon hd 6870 graphics card, and when i plug in two monitors(1 hdmi and 1 dvi-i) they are both recognized and the dvi partially works, but as soon as i move my mouse to the dvi monitor and click anything(or drag a window to that monitor) it just goes black. When i only use the dvi plug the screen just doesn't come on at all. I've tried reinstalling drivers and such but to no avail. I got it to work alone ONE time(no idea how i managed, just pure luck) but i like to use my tv to play movies and such, and when i plugged the hdmi in again it messed everything up... Any help is greatly appreciated. The monitor in question is a samsung syncmaster 920n
