Monitor Brightness After OK on UAC

Every time I click OK at the Windows 7 UAC pop-up box my Samsung monitor goes very bright and stays bright. The only cure is to restart/reboot. I have switched monitors (Dell) and it too goes very bright after UAC OK. Anyone have a fix? Could this be a driver issue?
SPECS: Dell Vostro 230 Slim Tower, Win7 Home Premium 32-bit, Dell Vostro Integrated Video GMA X4500 Graphics.

I agree it's a video card driver issue. Did you try the latest Intel.com video driver?

To repeat myself -> No, Windows does not seem to be able to find drivers well. It's been decades and Microsoft appears to not be getting the message about drivers. We are getting a little tired of driver hunts.

Thank you for your quick response! Coincidentally, the 10/25/10 Windows Update included the Intel driver software download. After downloading and installing the brightness issue has been fixed! So far, so good! Again, thank you R. Proffitt!
