Question

Monitor and Streaming

Oct 14, 2012 1:10PM PDT

So I got two problems:

1st: For some reason, my computer will not "entirely" stream videos on certain sites anymore. When I mean not "entirely" i mean that if I leave the webpage running [buffering symbol is working] eventually it plays but, the entire video is buffered. It is not immediately streaming and I have to let it sit until it buffers the entire video. For instance, putlocker is a website I use to steam videos and it doesn't start right away. This problem started a few weeks ago, the problem actually stopped two days ago but then returned. I have tried a system restore point but it did not work. Any ideas?

2nd: Now my monitor when I leave my computer, obviously the display will go into sleep mode. Since the power button on the monitor changes color you know it is on sleep mode. But just recently, the monitor does not respond when I move the mouse of tap the keyboard. It was fine before a week ago. The computer turns on fine but the monitor does not leave sleep mode. The only solution I had come up with so far is to turn the monitor off and on. I have a Acer 23'' S-series. Any ideas?

Thanks for the help!

As the browsers and Flash increase security this will happen.

Did you try disabling flash's hardware acceleration?
