Monitor a folder that does not change and send notification

Hello,

I am looking for a way to monitor a folder to find if it does not change in size over night. If it does not then I need an E-mail sent.

Or if a file does not come down into a folder then I need a notification set via SMTP E-mail.

I have several processes that run to retreive files and every once and a while these processes will not post a failure message. So, I need to have another process looking to find out if the file does not come down then to send an E-mail.

Let me know if you have a utility or script that would work. Thanks!

While Windows 2000 and up do offer a means to send such on a directory of file change, you asked the opposite. Therefore you'll have to write a little code to get the job done.
