Some monitors have two switches. One will be main power and the other turn on/off from the front. I suspect you know this, however. You said the power cord has been a problem. If the monitor has a built in PS and not an external box, you can try your PC power cord to test. If still no power, it may will be within the monitor.

I have a 15" LCD Impressions Monitor I moved my pc and went and hooked everything back up but I have no power to my monitor I think it might be the power cord I dont think its making connection it happen one time before but I got it up and running but this time its giving me grief any suggestions with this the monitor is almost 2yrs old and it was working just find right before I moved it
please help
