Money 2004 fails to load

As stated yesterday, my new program isn't working. It downloads from the disk ok but then won't load. The error message simply is a broad rectangle ... in blue on top is "Microsoft Money" then a red "x" followed by "Unable to initialize required Money component. Please reinstall".
Don't tell me no one has ever received this message unless you are God.
Otherwise, any clues please advise.

That issue is known.

You can find that in the MS Support Knowledge Base.

Did you look?

PS. Why the new thread? It's not a good idea since the forum loses what was in the prior discussion.

Unfortunately, in your first post, searching for your unclear error message comes up with nothing, just like Bob mentioned. And clearly, God had nothing to do with it, in either one of your posts.

But in your second post here, you indicated the "EXACT" error message. A simple Google search comes up with a good potential solution. Although not guaranteed, it's a good place to start.:

Google Search for "Unable to initialize required Money component"

It's number one on their list:
Money: Error Message: Unable to Initialize a Required Component of Money

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the tip Mr. Thomas. I usually do not do lengthy string searches on Google but we can see they work sometimes. As for the fix, it is rather involved I think for a new piece of software. I went down a similar road trying to repair Money 2002 some time ago and gave up. Maybe this time it will work.

I have a short cut icon for Money under Money2010 and when I went to online banking, it will not let me in to my Momey program. It asks for a password and refuses everything I have used in the past.
