molly's yahoo! maps beta rant...

Feb 28, 2006 11:32PM PST

hey guys... longtime fan; love the show. i'm popping my cherry with this post so forgive me if i run on...

molly... u gotta give yahoo maps another try 'cos i access it with my crappy 4 yr old iBook G3 (insert mad dog shoutout), in Firefox and it works super duper!

i planned out a trip from boston-new york-connecticut-new york-boston and it worked really well. it runs, slow cos my ibook is so slow, but copy-paste works fine, it runs pretty fast and overall i haven't had any major trouble with it. The multiple destination feature kicks ***. and also a little side-tip... use the "printable version" to copy paste the text into a .txt file and put it on yr ipod for quick take-out-directions. its easier and safer (relatively, but i'm not advocating it, get off yr cellphones ya damn crazy boston drivers!)to drive and navigate yr ipod directions than a bunch of loose papers. anyway... thats my 2 cents... "hit up yahoo maps to find the dopest route..."

tom... nice subtle shoutout to"fracking" battlestar galactica (maybe that wasn't yr intention?)

molly... stop leaving the lounge so much! remember what hpnd when the 3 musketeers split up? i don't know where i'm going with this... but it was bad... snakes on a plane!

v... gotta say i'm absolutely in love with yr voice and the added fact yr an apple lover

yahoo maps

yeah i have to agree the yahoo beta maps works great. Give a look at microsoft's local.live.com. It also is pretty good and has features that yahoo and google dont have.

BTW am I wrong to think of Apple fans as crack addicts. I mean they cant get away from the white stuff, ha ha. Plus if anyone has the slightest thing to say that Mad Dog doesn't think, the fans come out in droves supporting their use. Oh well just my thought, get your hit of the white stuff Macboys.

I agree with Molly...

I agree with Molly...this is very poorly written. The Zoom bar is not really "Accurate" and no luck in finding a GIS option. CPU and Connection be damned...give me maps.google.com any day.
