Question

Modem Syslog

Sep 9, 2016 7:04AM PDT

Hi, I have a purchased an Asus DSL-AC52U router the other day, and experience some issues with conflicts with my D-link switch.

Other then that I get a syslog which has many of the following lines inside, something like every few seconds.

Could anyone please explain what this warning means?

[warning] kernel: DROP IN=ppp0 OUT= MAC= SRC=95.90.213.91 DST=180.183.5.248 LEN=129 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=46 ID=58998 DF PROTO=UDP SPT=47733 DPT=6881 LEN=109 2016-09-09 11:20:23

On another forum someone suggested it was a port scan, but then I swapped the Asus with an old Netgear router, which also records DoS attacks and port scans, and there in not a single line like that in the log
