What kind of modem do you have....mkr and model number? Usually, if there is a lucent chip on the card, you can use generic Lucent drivers for it which can be found at http://www.56K.com
I try to use the mfr drivers instead (such as Boca, Aztech, Acer, etc) if you can garner that info off of the card itself.
Once you determine the type of modem you have and download the newest drivers for it (usually an .exe file you can download), click the downloaded file and it will install what you need, then reboot the computer. There are a couple of types that require a little more effort, but let us know and we can get into those steps if necessary.
No name computer. Had W200 pro and wouldn't reconize modem. Formated and installed WME. Still no modem.
