Modem Driver Help

Feb 29, 2004 3:29AM PST

Hello, I hope someone out there can help me. I recently reformatted my hard drive and so I reloaded Windows 98v.2 onto it... But I had gotten a new modem last year so the modem driver for my computer wasn't on the windows98 disk. The modem said it was an "LT win modem" when I used to get on the internet, but every driver I've found for 'LT win modem' doesn't work, and I think I'm downloading the wrong ones. Can anyone help?

(NT)Do you have still have the CD or diskette that came with the modem?

Or the make and model number from box or printed user manual? Or maybe they are printed on the modem somewhere?

You will need to identify the modem a bit more clearly. One way is to look at the indentifying marks on the chipset. Then use this info in a Google search.
You can also look for any manufacturers name on the card itself.

http://www.modem-drivers.com/

offers a lot of modem drivers.

One possible solution would be to try a generic modem driver. This can be done by using windows "Add Hardware" feature and manually selecting a generic driver from the list.
