Question

Modem compatibility

Hi
I recently bought a wireless router/modem (TP_Link Archer D50) from UK and I want to know if that can be used in India. When I had asked their customer support I got multiple responses and I don't know whether they are talking the same thing.

Much appreciate your help.

Kind regards
info-seeker

Answer
I'm going with no.

Only the ISP can answer this one. It's their network so only they can allow or tell you if they support it on their network.

Thanks for your reply. When I checked the modem hardware interface requirements it matches with this product though.

Since you checked, next check is the ISP.

If you checked already, I have to repeat that your ISP has the final say.

ISP Standards

Is there any specific questions I need to check with the ISP apart form just asking compatibility? I am trying to understand what specs could go wrong generally when it comes to the ISP standards. Sorry my background is not networking, so I was wondering if I could know a bit more about the ISP standards.

The one ISP question.

"I have a ________________ modem router. Does it work on your system?"
