i have a dell dimension 1100,pentium 4 and 256MB ram,im using a 56 kbps artnet internal modem,but whenever i connect to the internet the pop up menu will show 46kbps or even 48kbps but never 56 kbps,i want to get a modem that similar to broadband speed and theres many types of modems, im confused

and you never will see it. It doesn't happen. When I used to use a POTS (Plain Old Telephone System) modem I don't think I ever saw above 46k. You are really "flying" at 48k, wow!

(That's said somewhat tongue in cheek, since I now have broadband - but seriously, 48k on POTS is almost maxed. I think you might see 50k, but don't expect it.)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
