Mobility Radeon x1400 multiple monitor-capable?

Aug 23, 2007 6:26AM PDT

I run my laptop display at 1400x1050, and I'm looking at a monitor for a multiple monitor setup that will run at 1440x900. Will I have adequate video memory out of my 128MB mobility radeon? Also (and this is the most important question) will having another monitor set up deprive any games played in fullscreen on the main display of video memory, or will the secondary display go black and release its memory for use by applications?

All I can share is our x1300 does this just fine but that's on a desktop. Too bad you didn't share the make and model of your laptop.

Thinkpad T60. It has a VGA out on the side, I just don't know about the graphics card.

On the x1300, the games we have do not use the dual screens so what happens on the second screen is it either just freezes on the last image or it goes black.

Sorry but this is all I can share since I only have this and not your laptop.
