Monitoring your young child's activity is ethical because you are a concerned parent. Monitoring your ex's or another adult's activity without their explicit consent is not IMHO.

I did work for companies that used it to track school, transit buses and see plenty of good reasons for it.

Well as for as i know mobile surveillance is Totally unethical but still it depends on surveillance if it is happening for the sack of child protection then its good but if its purpose is spying and probing of people's private life then its not good. For any case Authorities should make the reason for surveillance clear.
Hello Saqqi,
I also having the same opinion. One of my friend suggested me a cell phone monitoring app. I started using Easy logger android app on my sons phone, its been an enlightening experience and I may have saved him from a lot of trouble too, he hates it though ![]()
its great keeping kids out of trouble. From their viewpoint, its annoying, but you know, as parents its what we have to do sometimes to keep them on check.
Just how the other people have stated their reasoning, I agree with their answers as well. When one is monitoring their own children, or when the government uses it for safety reasons, then it is reasonable. However, if one person is using the monitoring surveillance to spy someone for no reason, then it should not be allowed. They should actually be sent to prison or should be fined for this type of action. Again, this world is going to have a group of people that are using the mobile surveillance for safety reasons, while the other group of people will use this device to track someones private life.
