Question

Mobile Temporary Internet with ethernet plug

Jul 21, 2015 8:16AM PDT

Need month to month solution for internet on the go that has an ethernet plug in.

Would LOVE some advice. We run events twice a year and need internet at various locations in the Atlanta area. We used Clear...but it is no longer available and Sprint only offers solutions for a 24 month plan...but we need either month to month or pay as you go internet. We also need a way to connect our routers thru ethernet to the hot spot so we can process credit cards etc. but all of the hot spots I see now don't have a way to connect thru ethernet.

We loved Clear's modem that had ethernet ports as well as wireless and we were able to only pay for a month at a time. Can anyone offer another solution since Clear is no longer?

For ever grateful for advice!

Have to write no.

I see no cellular modems that do this from the usual sources. But one can use a WiFi to Ethernet client device to bridge the two. These are now plentiful so I'll skip any specific model.

As to month to month, pay as you go, here in the USA there are a few providers of that. Ting, ATT and so on which means you need to ask them for that and rates.

Thank you so much~ Just to make sure I understand correctly...... I was told by At&T that I could get a pay as you go unite pro hot spot. If I use that to get the internet, then I could purchase the TP-LINK you linked above to pickup the signal... and then plug my router into the tp-link thru ethernet. My end goal is to use my ethernet credit card terminals that are plugged into the router.

Set up as "How to use a router as a WAP" If you leave it as a router you would end up with a double NAT which may or may not work. If you needed more ports, a switch or hub is all we need. The hot spot would already support quite a few connections.

Sorry about that ....I meant to say we have a 20 port switch (not router) that we need to connect to through ethernet to an internet signal. Happy
