have you picked a carrier yet?

If you have a preferred carrier, then your choice of handsets will be limited to whatever that carrier can support. If you just want the best phone and will sign up for whatever carrier offers it, then your choices are less limited.

Most Android models are considered competitive with iPhones. Each generation of iPhone has a generation of different competing androids as well, far far too many to list.

Me, I pick a service provider first, decide how much I'm willing to pay each month for service, and then find a phone that that carrier will allow at that service plan. ATT for example expects you to buy a data plan (at additional cost beyond the regular service plan) if you want to use a smartphone on their system (although I used an unlocked blackberry for a year without a data plan).

iPhone is a smartphone, iPod is a portable media player. You can't do phone calls or download "apps" on an iPod.

Sure you can. (You forgot about the distinction between the 'older' iPods & newer Touch.) Everyone uses apps on their iPod Touch ;).

First, i want to buy the phone without contract...:)...
So, i have more choices...

Can you tell which Android phone beat iphone 4S?

Money is not the factor.
But i don't like the body and look of iphone 4, and i don't want to wait till iphone 5 get release..

If i get the ipod then i can easily download the app into PC and then copy to ipod, that's right?

All other things are same as compred to iphone?

In reply to: HI...

You can't use the phone without a contract (if we call pay-as-you-go a contract also). So you first buy a phone, and then you buy a contract. And then you must be sure that that contract for that phone covers all those nice things you want your phone to do just as well as an iPhone. So for data it should be supported by the carrier you choose to buy a contract from.

Maybe that's a UK thing?

You *can* buy & use unlocked & locked phones here w/o contract. Depends on the carrier though.

Just download directly to the iPod Touch

There's no need to perform the extra step- just download the apps you want over wifi directly. Sync with your PC when you want to backup everything.
If you want to learn about free VoIP calling/free SMS over wifi with the iPod Touch, that's another 'hidden' feature that comes in handy and saves you minutes. Just google 'Talkatone with Google Voice'.

These phones are the recent Android phones -: the Galaxy S II,

The Apple iPhone 4S and the Sony Arc S both have an 8-megapixel main camera. The iPhone 4S has a front-facing camera, which the Arc S does not have .also Apple iphone 4S comes with a huge improvement ..although its price is high as compared to Sony arc S but its worthy.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
