Mobile Devices vs. PCs

Always curious why laptops/PCs take so long to get on-line while mobile devices go on-line in a second. Why are laptops/PCs so slow? Also, why is it impossible to download apps to a PC/laptop while they are easily downloaded into mobile devices?

webpages are so much smaller for mobile devices. not sure what you mean by downloading apps but mobile apps are generally not compatible with pcs operating system so it wont download.

My 2006 Dell boots from cold, gets online in 33 seconds.

It's a 2006 Dell e1505 w/2GB RAM, 120GB SSD and Windows 10. I don't think 33 seconds from a cold boot to a google search result in 33 seconds to be that bad. My LG G4 takes longer if I cold boot it.

So your statement up front fails for a decade old laptop PC.

As to apps, I can install apps with ease. But I do use Ninite.com
